  • We are located 10 minutes walk from Walthamstow Central station (Victoria and Overground lines). We do not publicly advertise our address. Address and directions are sent to you after booking, please do not share or publicise our address.

  • Booking is done online through our booking system. Visit our book page where you will select your desired length of booking and then possible times options. Book here.

  • Parking is for permit holders only, except between 12.30pm and 2.30pm and after 6.30pm. There are a few spots which are free for up to 2 hours, although those spaces cannot be guaranteed. We intend to get some parking vouchers soon so we will update you in due course.

  • Our standard rates are for up to 3 people. Additional guests cost £30 per person. The maximum number of guests we allow is 6, depending on the nature of your booking. Please email us for more information. Group bookings may be subject to a higher security deposit.

  • The venue is discreet and from the outside has the impression of a private studio with no reference to kink. Please be conscious of your behaviour and appearance when entering and leaving the facility so that we can remain discreet and respectful in our neighbourhood. If any neighbours happen to see you enter the building there is no need to be concerned as it’s known in the area as a private filming and photography studio and they will presume you are coming to use the space for these purposes.

  • Our venue is a no smoking premises, sorry. This is because the smoke smell lingers and is therefore potentially unpleasant for other bookings. Vaping is permitted within the venue. We ask you to try and limit going outside to smoke as much as you can to minimise the impact on the neighbours. If you do need to go out and smoke, please get fully dressed so you look discreet.

  • The space is sound proofed although we ask you to be considerate when making noise as no sound proofing is 100%. Please keep noise to a moderate level. Noise can be made within reason, but we are on a residential street so care and consideration must be given for our neighbours sake and for the safety and sustainability of the space.

  • Cancellation policy:

    Up to 1 week before hire date: Security deposit returned, full hire fees are non-refundable.

    1 - 4 weeks before hire date: Security deposit returned, 50% hire fee refunded.

    More than 4 weeks before hire date: Security deposit and room hire fees fully refunded.

    Rescheduling policy:

    Up to 1 week before hire date: Full hire fees retained and you are required to pay again in full. Security deposit transferred to new date.

    1 - 2 weeks before hire date: £30 admin fee. Security deposit and room hire fees retained and transferred to a new date.

    2+ weeks before hire date: No admin fee or extra costs. Security deposit and room hire fees retained and transferred to the new date.

  • Absolutely.

  • Yes you can although, please be very careful to take it home with you and not get things mixed up with our equipment. We do check all our equipment after each booking so you may have to pay for any equipment that has gone missing.

  • Yes the space is totally private. You will be met at the space by someone who will let you in and show you around. Returning guests may be given instructions in order to let yourselves in. You will then be left alone in the venue, ensuring complete privacy. If any neighbours happen to see you enter the building there is no need to be concerned as it’s known in the area as a private filming and photography studio and they will presume you are coming to use the space for these purposes.

  • No, sorry we do not allow parties because of the increased risk of noise and damage.

  • Yes. Please email to inform us and to discuss requirements. For workshops we recommend a maximum of 10 people.

  • No, sorry. We accept card payments through our online booking system.

  • The refundable security deposit is taken in order to gain more trust that the space will be well looked after and left as it was found with all equipment present and undamaged. Refunds of deposits will be initiated within 48 hours of your booking and then due to the processing time in our payment system can take up to 5-7 days to arrive in your account from initiation.

  • Yes we accept overnight bookings by email request. We have a very comfortable sofa bed and all bedding is provided. Please email us to arrange and discuss on info@amanitastudio.co.uk

  • A lot of thought has gone into Amanita Studio, including the cleanliness protocol and the health and safety of those using the space.

    Surfaces: We ask all visitors to wipe down any equipment and surfaces they have used using our disinfectant spray bottles which have been prepared with the correct dilution of ANIGENE High Level Disinfectant. Anigene is a leading brand of high level disinfectant, designed for health and welfare environments. This cleaner is effective in destroying different bacteria, mycobacteria, fungi and spores, including coronavirus.
    After each hire we also disinfect everything within the space again, in order to ensure every surface is thoroughly cleaned.

    Toys: It is not recommended to share intimate toys. For this reason it is a requirement that everyone in the space must use condoms on anything inserted.
    We endeavour to supply condoms, lube and gloves, but we also recommend bringing your own if you have any particular requirements or preferences or you know in advance that you will require very large amounts.
    We ask visitors to remove all condoms from toys after use, wash the toys with washing up liquid using the designated toy sponge and then place the used toys in the dirty toys bin. After every hire we rewash the used toys with washing up liquid and then toys are sterilised with hospital grade barbicide. Barbicide kills HIV (aids virus), Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C viruses.

  • No, sorry. Candles are too much of a risk in terms of mess and fire. Amanatia Studio has very well thought out and atmospheric lighting, as well as electric flickering candles in order to provide you with a very magical ambience.

  • The entrance to the space is not currently wheelchair accessible, but will be soon. We are currently waiting on the final works to be completed which will ensure this. We will publicise on our social media when it is. Currently the barriers are the limitations of the shutter door width at the entrance and an internal step. We will be soon be replacing the shutter and integrated door with a brick frontage and wheelchair accessible door. We will be replacing the step with a ramp, in order to be fully accessible. The ramp will be steeper than access guidelines due to limited space, so is likely to require assistance for wheelchair users.
    Amanita Studio is on the ground floor and is flat inside, there is a small threshold between the Playspace and the Chillout space. Most of the furniture is moveable if needed. The shower and toilet are regrettably not wheelchair user friendly due to space limitations, however with assistance it may be possible. A prior visit is advised.

  • We have a beautiful shower with a selection of products available for you to use.

    Towels are also provided.

  • We have a selection teas (herbal and normal), a good quality espresso coffee machine and milk available.

    We have a fridge, which has a small freezer compartment for ice. And we have an ice tray in the freezer.

    We have a hob and pans for cooking and a toaster which is stored in the cupboard, can be removed from the cupboard for use.

    If you require a microwave then please let us know and we will leave one out for you.
